Happy Lunar New Year to all our partners, suppliers and customers in Asia and around the world!
According to the lunar calendar celebrated in Asia, the new year of 2024 will fall on the 10th February. This day marks the first day in the lunar calendar, which begins the day after the first new moon appears between February 9 and March 10. This year, the Chinese New Year will mark the transition into the Zodiac sign of the Dragon, one of twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac.
The Great Race
The Chinese zodiac is derived from a folk tale known as the Great Race, in which all twelve animals compete in a race to reach the Jade Emperor. The order in which they completed the race is the order in which the years are named: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Each year is associated with one of the zodiac animals, which are believed to influence the fortunes of people born in that year.
As we prepare to welcome the year of the Dragon (who’s zodiac sign symbolises power, good fortune and strength), we wish you all a happy and prosperous 2024!
